I have to chuckle at this video… there was a time when people were burned at stakes for this sort of thing. Part of me wonders if our ancestors didn’t have the right idea, if not the right methods.

That’s because the people who did the burning were superstitious about such sinners in their midst provoking God’s judgment. Sinners were burned essentially to appease and ward off a God whom we now recognize as loving.
No, our ancestors did not have the right idea … about God.

With the over-the-top headgear, you can tell that this guy is just begging for some firebrand preacher to take to the streets and make this more of a circus than it already is. Nothing like free publicity to bring in the curious. This group has seven people as members. Leave them to their own charade and, by this time next year, they’ll have two: this guy and his wife/girlfriend (or the guy who sold him the devil’s head!).
