Did anyone notice that in the article deacons were sometimes addressed as Father Deacon, etc.According to some Byzantine Catholic friends of mine deacons as well as priests are addressed as "Father." I wonder how Latin priests would feel about that considering most choke at deacons wearing a Roman collar (even though Rome has approved it and deacons in many Eastern churches wear a collar.)

John…I'm sure this probably happens to you, but I've lost track of the number of times people have stopped me after mass to say, "Have a good day, Father" or "Nice sermon, Father." A lot of us deacons are "Father" by default :-) Deacon (not Father) G.

Meet Montana's married priest
Earlier this week, I posted an item about Montana getting its first married priest. Now a local TV station has hopped on the bandwagon. Take a look, below.

Gaudete! And let's break out a carol or two...
"Gesu Bambino," anyone? This is one of my favorites, and nobody does it better than these gals: Kathleen Battle and Frederica von Staade. Enjoy.

Beautiful.
This reminds me, Archbishop Hilarion of Volokolamsk is a hottie and would look great in all of that stuff.

But he seems to have a monk’s sensibility and does lots of black.

“But he seems to have a monk’s sensibility and does lots of black.”
Because he is a monk (we appoint our bishops from monasteries). When not vested for services, all of our bishops look like monks.
