Our family was not very religious and we only ever said grace at the family Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. The prayer was the same for both meals: “For what we are about to receive, may we be truly thankful, and may we be ever mindful of the needs of others.”

The American Indian prayer that’s featured in the link you provided is one of my favorites. As is our family prayer: Bless us O Lord, and these thy gifts, which we are about to receive, through thy bounty and grace, and please provide for the wants of others, Amen.
