Eco-Friendly Back-to-School Supplies

Thanks to Debra Lynn Dadd’s holistic newsletter for informing us all about these eco-friendly backpacks for kids returning to school. The eco lunch bags, shown at right, also make sense for kids, though I’m not sure how a banana would do for three hours in one.

For years, my friend, Ginny, has been making these sacks for anyone who wanted one. Organic cotton, sealed seams, some with a plastic-lined sleeve to slip in a frozen gel pack. There’s now a legion of kids and adults all over the city who carry their “eats” in Ginnysacks. We all love them, and her.>
