Teen Peace Camp: Is This Cool, Or What?

posted by chattering mind

I wrote the rabbi today at the synagogue where my kids go to Hebrew School, and told him I’d help to organize a summer teen “Peace Camp” like this one. Sounds terrific, doesn’t it? In the course of the week, the kids celebrate peace traditions in world religions and go on field trips to Hindu and Buddhist temples, an Islamic mosque, and more to learn about teachings of peace in each tradition.

what a wonderful thing. as humans we must except every human as a brother or sister and love one another. hate only creats hate and that is not what god created us to be. love for the good and everyone will win. my children were raised to be accepting of everyone. i wish more people cared more about love and acceptance than love for oneself. peace must be held most important. keep up the good work. may this and programs like this grow beyond anyones dreams!>

On the opening page of her site, you'll find a little slide show of her am

And Finally, This:
Place your burden at the feet of the Lord of the Universe who accomplishes everything. Remain all the time steadfast in the heart, in the Transcendental Absolute. God knows the past, present and future. He will determine the future for you and accomplish the work. What is to be done will be done at
