Amazing Woman: Marsh Engle

Boldly dancing across the top of her website flash the words: Envision Your Possibilities! Marsh Engle is a woman afire with passion and purpose. Just being in her sphere, it is nearly impossible to feel anything less than inspired. A primer on this wonder woman:

Marsh has spent over a decade facilitating hundreds of hours of coaching – especially to women – helping them to deepen their relationships, reveal their authentic power and turn their greatest passions into real world results. Her program, AMAZING WOMAN POWER 100 brings together women from around the world to create one of the most creative and transformational years of their life. In her book, “The Six Essentials” she teaches the guiding principles every woman must know to embrace her ultimate calling.

In 2002 Marsh was honored with a United States Congressional Proclamation for her leadership in establishing the Amazing Woman’s Day initiative that celebrates creative innovation and ignites transformation among women. As author of the acclaimed Amazing Woman Amazing World book series, Marsh has gained the opportunity to interview hundreds of feminine leaders including California First Lady Maria Shriver. Following 911 she traveled into the firehouses of New York City to study the life stories of the fewer than 26 women who serve among the 12,000 firefighters of FDNY. Her book Amazing Woman Amazing Firefighters shares insights learned during her year-long investigation.

Acknowledged as a distinctive authority in the field of consumer communications and brand enhancement, Marsh has been nominated among the Power 100 Women in Entertainment and named among Who’s Who in American Women. Her clients have included Paramount Pictures, Viacom, Children’s Television Workshop, Australian Broadcasting and more. Her productions have been seen by hundreds of thousands across the United States including those at THE WHITE HOUSE.The Marsh Engle Show broadcasts each Monday on Voice America Business

Marsh lives her bliss by “celebrating creativity, igniting a sense of higher purpose, connection and contribution. Regardless of the form … be it a new business, deepening the quality of relationships or creating transformation in our own individual lives … I love to celebrate the infinite power that we have to create positive impact in our lives and in the world around us.”

She has been on a remarkable journey that has been filled with lots and lots of opportunities for breakthrough and self discovery. The most profound period of transformation came back in 1999 when my mom died, I received a life-threatening diagnosis and my dad died all within 18 months. Today I call this a “wave of awakening” through which I came to understand what truly matters to me and ways I can make a difference. As journalist Christiane Amanpour once said, “We are each given a powerful voice and our job is to use that voice to positively impact the world around us”. I believe I found that voice. I also believe that thru the darkest of times comes the greatest stream of new possibilities.”

Marsh is the heart and mind behind Amazing Woman’s Day and about it, she waxes powerfully: More than ever before women are looking to create connection thru higher creativity, community and opportunities to share their greatest strengths and talents; I believe Amazing Woman’s Day is a platform for exactly that, celebrating the possibilities of living our greatest potential as community leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators and catalysts of change. We are making a real and lasting difference in our individual lives and in the world around us.”

The Gift of Vulnerability
A quote from one of my favorite books has set the stage for an ongoing process in my life. The Velveteen Rabbit is a tale of a little boy whose toys dispense wisdom to each other,  the child and the reader of this classic. The rabbit, who is a bit insecure and wondering if the tot will favor him, a

Clothes Make The Man
As I was speaking with a client today, we were discussing ways that people learn who they are and how they re-create themselves when major life changes occur. I remembered a scene from one of my favorite films:  Joe vs. the Volcano. Tom Hanks plays Joe Banks who  has a dreary, gray life, with pre

Changing Your Mind About God
I was listening to an  NPR interview today with author Scott Chesire whose initial book  is called High As the Horses’ Bridles, which is a reference to an image connected with Armageddon. It is a novel, but in part, is based on his own experience as a Jehovah's Witness. In his conversation
