A prudent man foreseeth the evil and hideth himself, but the simple pass on and are punished. (Proverbs 27:12)

Have you had some punishing defeats lately? Sometimes it seems that temptations are around every corner, ready to ambush us.  We really intend to do it right, eat low glycemic foods, and exercise.  Then something unexpected happens and our good intentions lie bleeding on the ground.

How do we deal with the attacks of our lives and our society on our healthy living plan?  Be prepared.  Realize that there are dangers ahead and be alert to them.  No general would send his troops into a war zone without a battle plan. You won’t make it on your journey to a healthy weight and vibrant health unless you have a strategy, too.

In this next series we’ll be talking about how to protect yourself from the land mines of life by planning ahead.  If you foresee the “evil” of parties and busy days, for example, you can “hide yourself” by planning ways to deal with them.  A little bit of strategy and foresight may be the key you’ve been missing to finally make your weight loss happen.

Eating to live and living for Christ,

Susan Jordan Brown
