Media mogul and self-professed Big Mouth, Ted Turner, has done a 180 on Christianity, which he once famously described as “a religion for losers.” (Actually, the phrase has a certain theological validity, though I don’t think that’s what Ted meant.) Now Turner tells the AP that “I regret anything I said about religion that was negative,” and he formed a $200 million partnership with Lutherans and Methodists to fight malaria. Turner, 69, said he had only made a few disparaging comments a long time ago and that he is “always developing” his thinking as he grows older.
He adds, “I find it really hard to believe I’m going to hell.” Not exactly a clamorous conversion, but interesting. Read more here.
