What happens if you were to try and walk on your hands instead of your feet all day long?

The obvious…right?

You either wouldn’t be able to even get into that position to begin with…

Or if by some chance you did…unless you’re a gymnast…you wouldn’t go too far.

Now…

What about your brain and eyes?

In fact…

This reminds me of the quote:

“You see with your brain, not your eyes. Your eyes can deceive you…don’t trust them.”

And this is similar to trying to walk on your hands all day long instead of your feet…because trying to see with your eyes ultimately leads to the same result…although in a much slower and often unnoticed way.

So what does this have to do with your life?

Everything…

Especially as it relates to what you’d love to be, do, and have in your life…which is also frequently referred to as “living your dreams.”

And it is certainly involved when you have people that you share your dreams with tell you, “I’ll believe it when I see it”, and then just laugh at you.

Of course there’s a reason why they would say this and laugh…

Because they’re not seeing what you’re seeing.

They’re seeing with their eyes..and just like trying to walk on your hands all day long…they’ll get the same result.

It comes down to this…

When you’re able to see with your brain…and realizing that your eyes can deceive you…you’ve just taken one of the most important steps in living “the life of your dreams.”

As you know…

I rarely use “the life of your dreams.”

However, there’s a good reason I am right now. And it’s because anything you’d love to achieve in your life starts out as a dream…then once it’s “true” to you…it becomes you vision…your mission…your purpose.

And the way you bring this into your life and “see it” is by seeing with your brain first.

How do you know this to be true?

Look no further than cars, airplanes, your computer devices…and anything for that matter.

Think about it…

What would have happened if you were living back in the year 1800 and you mentioned about computer devices, cars, and airplanes? You probably would have been put in an insane asylum.

Yet…

The people who invented these modern conveniences were looked at as being crazy.

Sound familiar?

It does if you’ve ever shared your dreams with others.

Remember…

Anytime someone belittles and laughs at you because you’re courageous enough to share your dreams with them…and tries to bring you down to their level…

It’s because those people were belittled, laughed at…and gave up on their dreams and are now living somebody else’s dream.

How do you know this to be true?

Because they wouldn’t be laughing and belittling you if that didn’t happen to them.

And…

It’s also because they’ve decided to see with their eyes first…not their brain….hence, the phrase, “I’ll believe it when I see it.”

So let’s talk more about being able to see with your brain instead of your eyes.

How can you develop this skill?

It starts by knowing what your true values are…or what it is that’s most important to you. And one of the ways to know is to listen to your language.

If you find yourself saying “I should”, “I have to”, “I’ve got to”, “I’m supposed to”, then you’re trying to live according to someone else’s values…and ultimately their dreams.

The result…

Frustration, beating yourself up, and wanting to give up.

When you say, “I love to”, “I’m inspired to”, “I choose to”, “I’m blessed to”…you’re living according to what is true to you…your highest values.

This results in…

Being persistent, perseverant, and you won’t give up.

This will also help you in dealing with the people that come along and say, “you’ll never do _________.”

And since these people gave up on their dreams because of someone they came across that gave up on there’s…that’s why they’re trying to pass it on to you.

Along with that…

They’re seeing with their eyes and not their brains.

Also remember…

Your brain is designed to be two sided and will do whatever it takes to maintain that equilibrium…balance…two sidedness.

Whereas…

Your eyes—since they go by what it seen on the outside—sees only one sidedness.

Therefore…

When you’re able to see with your brain, you’ll know that every situation has two sides…happy and sad, joy and sorrow, peace and war…it’ll know that there’s an equal amount of positives and negatives.

Even with this…

You’ll still get the people who will want to see the “proof.”

Also remember…

“To those who believe no proof is necessary…and to those who don’t no proof will ever be possible.”

All the proof you need is in your heart.

And it starts with what you’re able to see…with your brain.

Because that is when you see what you were put in this world for…

To contribute tremendous amounts of value by being the unique and special person you are.
