What’s the opposite of Supermoon?

Astrologer Richard Nolle coined the term Supermoon to describe the Full Moon at perigee when it’s closest to the Earth.   Last night’s Full Moon was at apogee and at its furthest from Earth, so the Moon appeared about 15% smaller than usual.

The influence of the Moon does appear to be more intense when it is at perigee and therefore appears larger, so perhaps last night’s Minimoon did not pack as powerful a punch.

Opposite of “Supermoon” : ‘ Wimpymoon ‘ ? To tell the truth, I’m too busy getting wailed on by Mercury Rx to notice the Moon was any smaller; so thanks for the heads-up !

I just wanted to say that I found your blog through Beliefnet last week and I am thoroughly enjoying your posts! I am what I would consider an intermediate astrological student and your posts really explain why certain aspects apply to situations. I appreciate that not only is your blog interesting, it’s educational and understandable! Thank you so much for sharing your gifts with us!
    Blessed be!
