There is no greater sacrifice that one can offer than their life. Memorial Day honors the men and women who have given all for their country and for freedom.

The National WWII Museum tells the story of the American Experience in the war that changed the world — why it was fought, how it was won, and what it means today — so that all generations will understand the price of freedom and be inspired by what they learn.

Additionally, for this Memorial Day  it is appropriate to post a picture tribute to our Wounded Warriors that was held at the Palazzo Las Vegas.

Picture Tribute for Memorial Day

“You know that feeling when you are somewhere public and something whether a movie, or in my case a baby duck, or sometimes really random stuff leaves you choking back tears and planning for an escape from the room before someone sees you?  Here at The Palazzo Las Vegas during the welcome reception for Wounded Warriors from San Antonio Medical Center (BAMC) there was none of that.  We all came together as a community of supporters and together I’m sure we shed enough tears to supply all of the water falls at The Palazzo/The Venetian with water to last AT Least the week. . .”

Loyal Subscribers!  We need some help.  The purpose of our “Heart” section is to publish stories of the experiences, contributions and sacrifices of our military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard) and public service personnel (police officers, fire fighters, EMS, merchant marines and others in the public sector) as well as stories of their families.  Please search your memory and computer for a few and send them to Bill (CPT Otis) O’Quin at boquin@ix.netcom.com for possible publication.  Thanks!
