A short break from an exercise routine can be beneficial both physically and mentally. Use the time off to catch up on reading, projects around the house or relaxation. You'll likely find that you miss your workouts and can return to your routine with renewed energy and enthusiasm. Don't take too much time off, however. Before you take the break, mark your calendar with a date to return to the program.
