While hanging out with your friends can be a simple way to improve your mood, it won’t work if you surround yourself with negative people. Spend some time thinking about the people in your life who are always cranky or complaining and remove them from your social calendar. Their drudgery is bringing you down. Next, make a list of the most positive, upbeat people in your life and then schedule a date with one or two of them. Or, plan a dinner party and only invite the most optimistic people you know. Dinner with a dozen cheery guests can’t help, but lift your spirits!
