The Precious Human Body

What makes human beings so interesting? Philosopher Ken Wilber explores our uniqueness.

Only humans span the entire spectrum of consciousness--the higher and the lower, angels, demons, serpents, animals, birds, says integral philosopher Ken Wilber. He explains that we’ve got all seven chakras crammed into one small space.

Ken Wilber is one of the most influential and widely read American philosophers of our time. His writing has been translated into more than 20 languages. He is the author of many books, including "The Spectrum of Consciousness,"  "Sex, Ecology, Spirituality," "A Brief History of Everything," "Boomeritis" and "The Marriage of Sense and Soul," among others. Wilber lives in Denver, Colorado, where he works with the Integral Institute, a think tank he founded.
