Daily Inspiration: Leader of Your Destiny

We all know what to do, we just don't know how to get re-elected after we've done it.” Jean-Claude Juncker is the Prime Minister of Luxembourg and he’s talking about economic reforms.  Leaders have a tough go, they need to make unpopular decisions and deal with what comes after.

It’s not all that different from the choices and consequences you make every day. You may not be trying to solve the European debt crisis, but you are the leader of your own destiny.  It’s likely you’ve got a problem or two, and you probably know what needs to be done. But like Jean-Claude, you’re thinking about what happens after.

Be bold, and be brave in your problem solving. There’s no re-election process for you. Popular opinion doesn’t matter; self-respect is the only affirmation you need. Pray for guidance and act with confidence. God gives His blessing when good decisions are carried through.

Prime Ministers and Presidents come and go, but God is ever-present. Political policies change over time, but God’s word is constant. Problems arise and resolution is found, but with God you overcome it all.

Prayer for Solving Problems

Dear God,
Thank you for being my partner in problem solving.
With You my understanding increases,
my will is strengthened and I am ready to act.
I do not fear the consequences,
I only look forward to the certain resolution.
