Daily Prayable: When You Notice Someone is Angry, Try This... - Monday, January 17, 2011
I feel my anger overpowering me. I have lost my sense of balance my sense of control my sense of security. Now I stumble my way to You and ask You, lay a calming hand over my raging heart.
Give me the wisdom to see my righteous anger as an alert to danger, so that I can respond by caring for myself.
Help me resist the desire to treat my anger as a weapon, so that I will not perpetuate hurt by responding with aggression.
And please teach me grace, so that I may know peace by learning to forgive.

During the holidays, I am reminded of how my daughter expressed her wishes during the holiday season when she was 10 years old. This is the story of my daughter’s determination--and of how her parents handled it.
We lived in a wonderful home in Honolulu. We celebrated Hanukkah. We lit the Menorah ...

We can only imagine what it
must be like to see God’s face--to accurately perceive His beauty, His incredible power, His holiness, His love, and His majesty...angels continually enjoy this face-to-face communion with God. Maybe that’s why they make such great guardians.
