Recently, Pray Maker suggested via email that I blog for all of the military girlfriends and spouses out there. Ruth said, "I've got a feeling you're going to be called to service in your own way, m'dear! Helping out your peeps while your man protects the country." First I laughed that she used the word "peeps" then I sat and seriously thought about what she had said.
I've recently been dealing with a lot during my fiancee's deployment. I've done my best to remain positive, not sit around by the phone or computer, and get out to live life. It's hard to not get wrapped up in the waiting and mind games the missing can bring. I've gotten away from the computer, slowly, but I still find myself dazed and waiting even when I'm trying to watch TV, shop for groceries, and hanging out with friends. Recent events have made me even more worried about his well-being, but I can only pray for the best.
