Elections matter. Politics shapes the culture. Ultimately, however, politics is derived from culture. Historically, profound political change, such as the abolition of slavery in the British Empire, is an expression of a much larger cultural, moral, and spiritual change. If we want lasting change for the better, we have to restore the rest of the culture, too: especially families, schools, and churches.
