Why should you care? Because an estimated 100 million Christians worldwide suffer interrogation, arrest and even death for their faith in Christ, with millions more facing discrimination and alienation. A number of organizations such as Open Doors, Compass Direct, International Christian Concern, China Aid, Voice of the Martyrs – and scores of others – support and strengthen believers in the world's most difficult areas through Bible and Christian literature distribution, leadership training and assistance. Others just help spread the word, advocating on behalf of the oppressed church, encouraging you and me to pray for the oppressed – and to speak up on their behalf.
