One sneaky method parents often use to live vicariously though their children and teens is overscheduling. Many of us start this when our kids are young, when a typical week may combine soccer practice with baseball games, with swim meets and academic enrichment, between violin and piano lessons. Sometimes activities are the choice, and often the unfulfilled passion, of the parent, not the child. [And] the results can be pretty awful.
