“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” Proverbs 4:23. This is what will protect you from the struggles and obstacles you encounter in life, and in turn allow you to give your heart freely to a meaningful, healthy relationship. Giving in to sin or corruption will only corrupt your heart, making it harder for you to give yourself completely to another person. When you guard your heart from evil by praying to God, asking for forgiveness and obeying the Lord’s commandments, you will be rewarded with a deeper, stronger connection to God and others as well.
