Giving back to the less fortunate or to your community is very rewarding and is a great way to spend time with your family. Your children will learn a valuable lesson about humanity and how a little bit can make a big difference within society. Check with your local community and seek out opportunities with organizations connected to the YMCA, Habitat for Humanity, public libraries, children hospitals and/or other outlets. Volunteering on a project, no matter what size it is, will help you connect with your children on a humanitarian level.
