Teaching children gratitude especially toddlers is tough to navigate as they are in the “me” stage. Showing gratitude and respect for others will help them in adulthood. According to a study done in 2003, people that learned gratitude as children were more cheerful and optimistic as adults. A way to teach gratitude is to ask the family to confess one thing they were grateful for during their day, maybe when sharing a meal.
