Fall is harvest time and there’s local produce aplenty. A quick Google search for “working farms near (your town)” will yield bountiful pickings for a fabulous day trip for you and your grandkids.

It may be an organic farm, apple orchard, pumpkin patch or urban garden. Choose a destination and head out to visit the farmers who bring food to your table.
