Remember when you were a kid and you would defiantly say to your parent: “You’re not the boss of me!” Take that snooty retort and turn it around. You were never the boss of your parents and now is not the time to start.

Your parents need to make their own decisions, even if you don’t agree. There will be differences on issues big and small. Weigh in, for sure. But unless it’s a clear-cut issue of safety, the final decision should come from your parents.
