Father God,
I thank You for my parents and all the blessings that they have provided for me.
You know the situation I have with a parent who is not doing well healthwise as they grow older. You know their physical, mental, and emotional condition.
I ask that You draw them near to You and that at this stage of life they would have a wonderful sense of Your love and presence. May the hope and promise of eternal life be a consolation in all their difficulties.
I pray also that You would guide both them and all family members so that we would make the very best decisions on treat¬ments, living arrangements, and everything else that contributes to their health and lifestyle.
My parent has been a help to me countless times, and I pray that now I would be a help and blessing to them. Grant me the energy and grace to be all that I need to be for them at this time—and fulfill all other obligations I have in life.
I pray that there would be improvement physically and mentally so my parent feels good and can remain appropriately active.
All this I pray in the name of Jesus.
So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word. And let us consider and give attentive, continuous care to watching over one another, studying how we may stir up (stimulate and incite) to love and helpful deeds and noble activities.
