The average teenager spends 40 hours a week listening to music, surfing the Internet, and, texting. How many times have you spoken to a teenager at work or in the car only to have to repeat yourself as they pull out their Skullcandy. Music is a huge part of their life, so why not allow them to contribute to the musical ministry once a month? Find a budding guitarist, violin player, etc. and design a musical sketch around that strength. But remember that music audio isn’t always necessary. Have them create an a capella portion or a rap. They can even write their own poetry or spoken word skit and present their creation with recorded music.
