Do this instead. Now that you're getting rid of a bad habit, add a good one to take its place. Eat more broccoli. Take walks. Write thank you notes. Work harder. Work less. Each of us can think of at least one thing that would make us feel happier, prouder, friendlier, or more generous. It might be something easy -- in fact, it's better if it's easy. When you see the benefits, you'll be emboldened to take on something bigger.
