Was an Angel Sitting on the Corner of My Bed?
In August of 2004, I became ill and I began having sharp pains on the left side of my stomach/ribs/back area. I went to the doctor, and he gave me medicine for what he thought might be the problem.
I went over to my sister’s house, took the medicine, and went into her bedroom to lay down for awhile. As I was laying there, trying to get some rest but worrying because I was in so much pain, I felt someone sit on the corner of the bed, down by my feet. I had my head buried in the blankets when this happened; I thought it was my sister’s cat. I finally peeked above the covers and looked, but saw nothing. Her cat was not in the room with me and the door was shut tight.
I got up and went into the living room and asked my sister, "Has anything strange ever happened in your bedroom?" She said, "What, like someone sitting on the corner of the bed?" I was amazed. I really did know that someone was there with me. It could have been my grandpa, my spirit guide, or my angels from God. Looking back, whoever it was was there to comfort me for the days ahead. I ended up going to the hospital that afternoon (the medicine my doctor had given me was not working) and several days later, I found out I had a blood clot in my spleen.
Four days after being admitted, I finally had surgery to remove the spleen. After many blood tests, I found out I have a blood disorder called Lieden Factor V which makes me more likely to have a blood clot. I have to be on blood thinner for the rest of my life.
During my nine days in the hospital, it was difficult and scary not only for me, but for my family. We had just been through a really bad year with my mom with her illnesses and hospitalizations. Plus I had two young kids at home, a job, and a husband, but through all of this, in addition to the angel that was at my sister’s house, I had many [heavenly and earthly] angels who helped me to heal. I couldn't be more grateful and thankful for all those angels in my life. They helped me to heal...with them all, I was (and still am) strong.
