How to Be a Better Caregiver
Alzheimer's Has Brought Us Closer
We are caring for my father who is in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's. It's hard because he has good days and bad days and he is insulted by the idea that his daughter could tell HIM what he can and can't do — not to mention the need for independence if only once in a while.
At first it was all quite annoying to him but now I think he actually enjoys the company. I took him Xmas shopping today to keep him off the streets. It was nice. Alzheimer's is almost bringing us closer in a strange way.
