Don’t Be A Know It All. Sometimes detectives are unable to see the truth of a matter because we are so consumed by our own presuppositions. If we assume a certain “kind” of killer committed the crime simply because we’ve repeatedly seen this to be the case in the past, we are likely to misconstrue the evidence to support our presupposition! Something similar happens when people investigate supernatural claims (like those described in the gospel accounts) while holding naturalistic presuppositions.
