Resolve to live like you won’t see this day again, because you won’t. Time doesn’t wait. It runs ahead, a harsh taskmaster, indeed. Before we awake from the chaotic stupor of our fast-paced, twenty-first century lifestyle, sons and daughters will have passed through and closed youth’s door, never to open again the innocent days of malleability, when their hearts were tender and open to God. Children are like wet cement. No wonder Saint Francis Xavier said, “Give me the children until they are seven and anyone may have them afterward.”
