Save Money, Save the Earth

Dew-Drops on Green Blades of Grass

By Tri Robinson

When you look at the state of the world today, you find desperation on every corner of the globe. Unfortunately, when desperation strikes, people do desperate things.

In developing nations, the impact of desperate actions is acutely evident on the environment. The earth and the way it is tended is the basis of survival for many of the world's poor. However, it's not so evident in more developed countries.

You may not see slash and burn occurring around you, but in the U.S. this manifest itself in other ways. For example, you see people stocking up on incandescent light bulbs as opposed to compact fluorescent bulbs. Or you may see people buying new SUVs because dealers are dropping prices as opposed to purchasing a more fuel-efficient car.

No matter the economic climate, it almost always makes sense to go green because you're going to end up saving green in the long run.

Discover the first tip to go green and save money.
