A young girl who wishes for a more beyond her rural Kansas home is swept away to the magical land of Oz. It's the basis for the 1900 book by L. Frank Baum, which became the 1939 film starring Judy Garland. The Wizard of Oz is a classic family favorite that has a permanent place in American pop culture. It also has strong moral lessons of bravery, loyalty and friendship. What's most inspiring about this film is its ability to remind us that sometimes it takes leaving home to find out that's where your heart is all along.
