Miracle tells the story of the 1980 US Olympic hockey time that managed to win a gold medal despite being an extreme underdog.  The victory was powerful not just for sports fans, but for all of America.  The country was currently engaged with the cold war, so the games were not only a matter of pride but also a great distraction from the difficulties that the country was facing.  In addition to being a fun and inspiring film, it contains one of the greatest sports speeches of all–time acted marvelously by Kurt Russel.
