It truly is the "tale as old as time". The children's story of “Beauty and the Beast” blossomed in theaters as only a Disney film can. Young, beautiful Belle wishes for more than an ordinary life. A prideful prince is turned into a beast and locked in a castle. Fate brings them together, and  they both learn how to love in a new way. Beauty and the Beast is inspiring for its ability to take us beyond looks into what a person is like on the inside. Its unique retelling of this fairy tale won a Golden Globe award for Best Picture -- a first for a full-length animated feature and was the first Disney film to be nominated for a Best Picture Oscar since Mary Poppins 27 years prior.
