As true stories go, this one is a doozy. The Guildford Four were four people falsely accused of a vicious IRA bombing that took the lives of five people and wounded 65 others. They then spent 15 years in prison for crimes they never committed. Jim Sheridan’s incredible account (and Daniel Day-Lewis’ mesmerizing performance)  of their incarceration as well as their eventual exoneration is a thrilling battlecry for justice.

There is too much injustice in the world, some of which we encounter on a daily basis – in our families, in our workplaces, in our cities and states and countries – and the weight of it can be overwhelming. What a breath of fresh air to experience a story in which injustice receives its just deserts.
