Before I saw this film, I saw the trailer online and those two minutes moved me to tears. The Pursuit of Happyness tells the heart-breaking, yet triumphant true story of Chris Gardner, a down-and-out single father who loses everything except his will to provide a better life for himself and his son. The title (purposely misspelled based on a scene in the film) sums up the trials and hardships Garner and his son face while trying to make it. The two are played impeccably by real life father and son team Will Smith and Jaden. The Pursuit of Happyness will renew your faith that anything is possible if you believe that the valley is not the end.
