As children, many of us wondered what our toys did when we weren't around. In 1995, Disney / Pixar animated those imaginations and put them on the big screen with Toy Story. The film starred the voices of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and others as a group of toys who come to life and go on a great adventure. Woody the Cowboy is Andy's favorite toy until a the new Buzz Lightyear comes on the scene. Woody get so jealous, but soon Buzz and Woody learn that they have to work together to escape the clutches of the bully next door. I remember watching the film and thinking, 'Yep, they nailed it. This is exactly what I imagined my toys did when I wasn't home.' Toy Story is exciting and funny, but most of all it reminds us about the joy of unlikely friendships and teaches us that, no matter what happens, we are never replaced in the hearts of those who love us.
