Toy Story

In many ways, Toy Story changed the game for family movies. It employed an easily recognizable voice cast, a clever set up that is appealing to both kids and those who long for childhood, and really, really cool graphics. Toy Story and its sequels all stand the test of time as hilarious movies that are great for everyone.

The Goonies

The Goonies is an epic classic in both comedy and children’s movies. While not all movies from the ‘80s have stood the test of time, the Goonies has enough great things to say about friendship, accepting others, and living life like an adventure that everyone can enjoy it.

The Muppets

The Muppets have been a staple of family classics, and the most recent entry into their movie lore is the best yet. It is heartfelt, funny, and the kind of movie you’ll enjoy seeing with your kids again and again.

Cheaper By the Dozen

The Muppets have been a staple of family classics, and the most recent entry into their movie lore is the best yet. It is heartfelt, funny, and the kind of movie you’ll enjoy seeing with your kids again and again.

Home Alone

There are few Christmas movies that you can enjoy all year-round like Home Alone. The outright failure of the Sticky Bandits to rob a house guarded by a little kid is still funny to kids, and you’ll enjoy a laugh or two at their expense as well.

Finding Nemo

Pixar are the kings of comedies that are fun for the whole family, and Finding Nemo made the list for being one of the best of the bunch. This movie will not only make you and your family laugh, it may just make you think about parenting in a whole new way.

Adventures of Milo and Otis

I loved this movie as a child, but in today’s world of high speed electronics I figured kids would need something a little more fast-paced. However, I am okay with being wrong, as my niece loves this movie. It is appealing to parents as well, because it’s a fun movie that features real animals alongside an often sarcastic and hilarious voice over.

Shrek

The fairy tale invoking animated monster movie Shrek took the world by storm upon its release. The gentle ogre played by Mike Myers and the wisecracking donkey voiced by Eddie Murphy are a hilarious duo that both you and your kids will enjoy.

Honey I Shrunk the Kids

A classic story of a man shrinking all of his children, Honey I Shrunk the Kids is the movie that completely captured what it would be like to be shrunk to a size so small that an Oatmeal Cream Pie would be a monstrous object. With its unique plot and great set design, it is a movie that can still be enjoyed by kids and parents today.

Babe

The logical evolution of Milo and Otis is the great pig movie Babe. Babe is a great story about being who you are, no matter what anyone says, and he is absolutely adorable to boot.
