Amy Showalter shares:
When we dissect what being “unbound” means for an underdog today, we have to look at the exemplar for all underdogs, the shepherd boy David and his slaying of the giant Goliath. David isn’t “old school”—he’s the only school. As we read in 1 Samuel 17, David was unbound. He did just about everything a warrior was trained not to do. He didn’t wear traditional warrior clothing, he ran to Goliath, and he used the river rock vs. an ax or spear as his weapon of choice. Unconventional, indeed. When selecting your tactics, mix it up; don’t do the same things that Goliath does.
