For two thousand years, the last book of the New Testament, whether known as "Apocalypse" or "Revelation," has filled billions of Christians around the world with darkest fears and deepest hopes. Defying any one interpretation, the Book of Revelation, ascribed to the beloved Disciple John, is unique in Christian Scripture, and offers to every generation a glimpse into "the moment that is fast approaching" (Rev.1:2).
