Magic Johnson

Earvin "Magic" Johnson played point guard for the Los Angeles Lakers. Picked first in the 1979 NBA Draft, Magic went on to win five NBA Championships, three MVP Awards and a gold Olympic Medal with the "Dream Team" in the 1992 Summer Olympics.

Magic retired three times but once he left the game he continued on to other great efforts. Magic has served as a motivational speaker, NBA commentator and NBA studio analyst. Magic owns a promotional company - Magic Johnson Enterprises which has a networth of 700 million. In addition, Magic owns Magic Johnson Theaters - a nationwide chain of movie theaters, Magic Johnson Entertainment - a movie studio and is part owner of the LA Dodgers and Dayton Dragons - a minor league baseball team.

John Elway

One of the best quarterbacks to ever play football is John Elway. In the1981 MLB draft, Elway was drafted in the second round by the New York Yankees. He only played baseball for one year and then in 1983 entered the NFL Draft and was drafted first to the Baltimore Colts; he was later traded to the Denver Broncos. Elway led the Broncos to six AFC Championships and five Super Bowls. He won two Super Bowls and is one of the greatest players to wear the number seven.

After retiring in 1999, Elway dabbled in several businesses including co-owning an arena football team in Colorado. Elway is a Bronco for life - he now is the executive vice president of football operations for the Denver Broncos.

Shaquille O'Neal

Standing in size 23 shoes at 7' 1" tall, Shaquille "Shaq" O'Neal is arguably one of the best to play the game of basketball. Over his 19 year career, Shaq has scored 28, 596 points and won four NBA championships.

Shaq is a walking endorsement; he has represented some of the biggest companies around: Pepsi, Arizona Tea, Zales - promoted his own jewelry collection with Zales, his own shoe line, acted in movies, recorded four rap albums and the list continues to grow. After retirement Shaq continued to build his market and also expanded his media personality by lending his skills as a NBA sports analyst. Not stopping there, Shaq has received his doctorate and has plans to attend law school in the future.

Michael Jordan

Five MVP Awards, 10 All-Star NBA First Team designations,two All-Star MVP Awards, 10 scoring titles and six MVP NBA Finals MVP Awards and six Championships - these achievements could only be that of the infamous Michael Jordan. Jordan, or MJ to many, is known to be the best player to ever play the game of basketball. MJ was able to dominate every aspect of the game and is a legend.

It took three retirements but once Jordan officially retired he became the majority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats and an entrepreneur through countless facets. One of the biggest businesses that Jordan is known for is his shoe line. Consumers wait in lines for hours and pay hundreds of dollars for the latest pair of "J's" to hit the market. His Jordan Brand shoes have reportedly made one billion dollars for Nike. Jordan is also a long time spokesperson for Hanes, Nike and Gatorade.
