John Travolta, a veteran TV and film actor, and actress Kelly Preston married in a Scientology ceremony in France in September 1991, but they had to have a second ceremony because their wedding was not invalid in France. The couple has two children, Jett and Ella Bleu. Last year, rumors began to circulate that Jett Travolta is autistic and that his parents have withheld treatment because Scientology does not believe that autism is a disease. Travolta and Preston have denied these stories. Scientology does not approve of mood-altering drugs, and Preston is an outspoken opponent of the use of Ritalin to treat children diagnosed with ADHD.
