When did you first start having a weight problem? Was there an event -- an accident or traumatic experience, a change in environment, job or school situation, or a relationship issue? Think back. See if there is any connection to be tapped between your weight problem and a life experience. If so, then use that awareness to guide you in taking action to recover or heal yourself from it. You may be "self medicating" with food and sedentary behavior. It would be far better to seek a more positive approach to healing. Put your faith into action. Try some quiet meditation, asking Spirit and yourself “What happened?” Make an appointment with a spiritual advisor, pastoral counselor, or therapist. Take some time, and put a little effort into solving the mystery.
