Rather amazingly, it's easy to "be in your head" and forget your body. Or perhaps you think less of your body, and want to ignore it. Are you someone preoccupied with thinking all the time? Do you use your body much, or do you sit all day and drive everywhere? Do something physical today. Focus on your body. Massage yourself, or call a masseur or masseuse. Take a hot soaking bath, and close your eyes and pray for awareness of your physicality. Or perhaps just running your hands over every square inch of your body will help you focus. Experience the body that God made for you, and gave to you. It's not so bad! Besides, it’s the only body you have! When we are alive and aware of all aspects of our existence -- thoughts, emotions, soul, spirit, and body -- then we are in balance and may experience true happiness.
