Instead of focusing on how awful losing weight is, and how hard it is to get the pounds off - change your way of thinking and see the process as joyous, and positively fruitful. I know it can be hard to imagine when you're first trying to make changes - and still in the grip of old ways of coping and old bad habits. But take it from someone who's been where you are right now: Eating healthy and being active makes you feel better, have more energy, look better, reduces your chance of getting sick or suffering an early death, and improves your relationships and life in every way. And asking God or Spirit for help in making these life changes not only makes you much more likely to succeed, it gives you a source of strength to draw on that will never let you down.
