Our Troops And Our Flag

Remembering our troops and honoring our countries flag

After 9/11, I was saddened, of course, but so happy to see the response to our countries flag. Some have taken their flag down, or it has faded in their car window, so I wanted to remind everyone of the importance and pride we still feel about our nations colors. I have moved the same wooden flag from home to home since the Viet Nam war, and it has hung proudly on my front door, even when living in another country. It has crossed oceans with me and been a part of my life for so long, that I can not imagine being without it. I look at it each day, and say my prayer for our troops, and will continue, as in the past, to do this even in peace time. How proud must our troops feel, to be able to wear our flag, and show the respect, not only for our country, but for all of us! God Bless each and every one of you for fighting for my family and me. YOU make me proud to be an American!
