Imam Hussain Al-Shaheed (as)
Remember His Martyrdom

Our Beloved Imam Hussain (as) sacrificed his life to keep Islam in it's true form, remember him this month.

About 1400 years ago, Imam Hussain (as), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (saw), died defending Islam against the evil rulers of the time. Along with 72 members of his family and closest friends, a battle was fought in single combat against an outnumbering army of over 4,000 soldiers. On the 10th of Muharram (this year it falls on 14th March 2003), begining with the companions, each male member of this small group volunteered his life for the cause of Islam. All the men, from a 6 month old baby, to a 83 year old man, in this camp were mercilessly slain after 3 days of hunger and thirst in the desert of Karbala, Iraq by the king's army. Every year Muslims all over the world mourn this tragic event by gathering together to tell the story and what we should learn from these brave people. Please join us in our mourning by reciting a small prayer for the peace of the souls of the men who died here.
