D-I-V-O-R-C-E by Tammy Wynette

Well, I think it's safe to say that the title alone is enough of an explanation for not playing this song at your nuptials. Playing "D-I-V-O-R-C-E" at your wedding celebration would be the ultimate jinx.

Tammy Wynette was the perfect fit for this song considering she battled a troubled romantic life and married five times. I'm sure she was able to sing this song rather convincingly.

Better Man by Pearl Jam

Where do we start with this one? First, she dated the starting quarterback on the high school team and then has relations with a few of her college professors. Well then, it sounds like she settled for the groom. Does that sound right? "Better Man" is one of Pearl Jam's biggest hits but definitely wouldn't be a hit on your wedding dance floor.

50 Ways to Leave Your Lover by Paul Simon

Paul Simon's song may be quite incorrect since he only really provides five ways to leave your lover - slip out the back, make a new plan, set yourself free, hop on the bus and drop the key off. Hmm...maybe the song is a bit of a rip off however either way it's probably best that you don't give your lover any reasons to leave!

Another One Bites the Dust by Queen

"Another One Bites the Dust" is one of Queen's biggest hits that will forever play on the airwaves. But, if you have ever listened to the lyrics you'll find that the song welcomes domestic violence - which is probably not something you'll want your wedding guests bobbing their head to. The song talks about a man being beat down and cheated on yet, he welcomes his lady to bring it.

It's the End of the World as we Know it by REM

This is another song where the title explains it all. No one wants to be at a wedding jumping up and down to "It's the End of the World as we Know it." This song is for sure an unlucky song for your special wedding day where you're vowing to stand by someone for the rest of your life.

All my Exes Live in Texas by George Strait

We all have exes but the last thing you want to do on your wedding day is bring up your ex-files on your wedding day. George Strait's hit could definitely strike a nerve with your new spouse or resurface some sore wounds.

Gold Digger by Kanye West

As up beat as the instrumentals and beat may be, just say no to this song playing at your wedding. This song may be a very popular on dance floors across the nation but no bride wants to be labeled as a gold digger.

Macarena

For some unknown reason people like songs that tell them how to dance - avoid this instructional dance at your wedding at all costs! While it may catch an ear or two, this one hit wonder has no business playing at your wedding. Opt for a fan favorite like the infamous Electric Slide or the upbeat Cha-Cha Slide.

Chicken Dance

We all want the kids to have a song or two that they like but the Chicken Dance should be one that isn't played on your big day. It's two minutes and twelve seconds of clucking that no one really ever wants to be put through. Save yourself and your guests the headache and just don't play it!

Y.M.C.A by Village People

Lay to rest the infamous Y.M.C.A. song. Believe it or not, no one really wants to spell out letters with their arms - they would much rather groove to a hip song that isn't lost in 1978.
